International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences

Sections of IACS

The International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences as a non-profit world scientific society has the general mission to promote cardiovascular science, scientific education and interaction of all scientists in the field. The different sections of IACS are created on a geographical basis. Although all sections of IACS share the previously mentioned missions, there are differences between the sections regarding the specific aims within this general mission. More information about the sections can be found here.

In Europe, there are several scientific organizations in the cardiovascular field. However, the European Section of IACS has a distinctly different mission. The goal is not to compete but rather to cooperate with other scientific organizations in the field, focused on the aspects that are not completely covered by other societies.
